Press & researchers
VerifiedHer is the canonical record of which online creators are real and which are virtual. One page per creator, each verdict resting on evidence anyone can check: archived captures, platform disclosures, named-byline reporting, and published post-level data. This page is for journalists and researchers who want to use, verify, or challenge that record.
Citable numbers, computed from the registry at build time
- 1,047 creators researched by hand, one evidence page each.
- 28 confirmed AI personas — each verified against the operator's own disclosure, a platform AI label, or on-the-record investigative reporting. Never a detector score, never a hunch.
- 159 unproven — active accounts where public evidence establishes neither a real person nor a disclosed persona. We publish the uncertainty rather than a guess.
- 1 in 6 of the creators fans are actively searching for is not provably a real person. The full breakdown is in the report.
- 223 accounts and links gone dark under our monitoring — every listed account is re-checked in a weekly sweep, and each disappearance gets a dated row in the vanishing ledger. We record the dates and make no claim about causes.
- 20,000+ AI-assistant citations since mid-July 2026, per Microsoft Bing's AI Performance report (read late August 2026): when Copilot and partner assistants answer questions like "who is in the Bop House?" or "is she real?", registry pages are among the sources they ground on — currently hundreds of times a day.
What we can provide on request
For specific accounts we document, we hold dated archive receipts, full-resolution captures, and post-level data records (timestamps, engagement, geotags, captions) beyond what each page publishes. Where a page says evidence is "held on record," that means it is available to journalists and researchers — we don't publish routes to monetized or deceptive content, but we will show our work to anyone verifying it. Methodology walk-throughs and comment on the record are available the same way.
Our rules, in brief
Three verdicts only. Verified Real requires documented public evidence of a real person. AI persona requires official confirmation — the operator's own statement, a platform label, or named-byline investigative reporting. Everyone else is Unverified: never "fake," never "probably AI." We never publish a legal name a creator hasn't disclosed herself, never link monetized content on unclaimed pages, and never describe how to find stolen or fabricated content. Full standards on the about page; disputes are re-reviewed within 48 hours via corrections.
Attribution
VerifiedHer is project-attributed: the work is credited to the project, not to individuals — standard practice for adversarial-research outfits whose subjects include anonymous operators. Cite us as VerifiedHer, link the specific evidence page, and quote verdicts exactly as the page states them ("unverified" and "unproven" are not "fake").
