How they disclose that they're AI
Being documented doesn't mean being obvious. 94 of the 138 carry at least one platform's AI label, the kind every visitor sees. The other 44 rely on their own words: a line in the bio, a page on their own site, a statement from the studio that makes them, or, for a few, a press investigation. Many fans never see those.
Base: 138 documented AI personas. A persona with two kinds of proof counts under each, so the bars add up to more than 138.
How big they are
Counted on each persona's main account, live accounts with a dated follower count only. Together they reach about 42M followers; the middle persona has about 149K.

Questions
How many AI influencers are there?
No one has a full census, and new AI personas launch every week. We have documented 138, each confirmed AI by its own account, its maker, a platform label or a press investigation. That is a floor, not an estimate of the whole field.
Do AI influencers have to say they are AI?
Rules differ by platform. Of the 138 we have documented, 94 carry at least one platform's AI label (81 on Instagram), and 43 disclose only in their own words, on their own site or through their maker, where many fans never look.
How big are AI influencers?
Of the 126 with a live main account and a dated follower count, 7 have a million followers or more, and the middle one has about 149K. Together they reach about 42M followers on their main accounts (counts as of each persona's last read, the newest October 30, 2026).

How we count. A persona is counted only when it's confirmed AI on the record: its own account or site says so, its maker says so, a platform labels it (Instagram, YouTube, Fanvue), or a named-byline press investigation establishes it. Follower counts are read from each persona's main account on the date shown on its page, and only live accounts are counted. Accounts that might be AI but haven't said so stay "Unverified" on their own pages and are not counted here. These are counts of our records, not estimates of the industry.
